Cleaner outputs. Steadier clocks.

Rivo Plus is the enhanced version of Rivo, engineered from what listeners asked for. A dedicated ASIC now generates the S/PDIF coaxial and AES/EBU signals, and improved MEMS clocks lower jitter.

A dedicated ASIC

An ASIC is a chip built for one task. Here it generates the S/PDIF coaxial and AES/EBU output signals. This takes the job off the main processor, so its interference and jitter stay out of these outputs.

A MEMS clock and quiet power

A high-quality MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems) clock drives the ASIC and gives it a very stable, low-jitter timing reference. Low-noise voltage regulators power it.

Reclocked USB

An upgraded MEMS clock in the USB hub chip improves reclocking and signal integrity, above all on the USB DAC output. It keeps jitter low and the frequency stable, with less drift from temperature changes and aging.

Four ways to your DAC

Rivo Plus is a digital transport. It sends the signal to your DAC through USB, I2S over HDMI, AES/EBU or S/PDIF coaxial. A 12 V trigger switches your other components on and off.

USB

1536kHz

Up to PCM 1536 kHz / 32-bit and DSD1024, with multiroom off. The USB-A 2.0 output has power filtering, and an upgraded MEMS clock in the USB hub chip improves its reclocking.

I2S over HDMI

768kHz

Up to PCM 768 kHz / 32-bit and DSD512, with multiroom off. For compatible DACs. The pinout routing of the HDMI connector is adjustable.

AES/EBU and S/PDIF coaxial

192kHz

Up to PCM 192 kHz / 24-bit and DSD64 via DoP, on both. The dedicated ASIC generates both signals, with its own MEMS clock and a low-noise power supply.

Trigger

12V

A trigger output on a 3.5 mm jack, positive on tip. It powers your other components on and off.

From your network to your DAC

Stream over Gigabit Ethernet or dual-band Wi-Fi, or play from a USB drive. On the back, I2S and video each have their own HDMI connector.
